Agri Food Pilot Program

Canada’s Agri-Food Pilot Program offers an exciting pathway for foreign workers to build their future in this diverse and welcoming country. This program focuses on addressing labor shortages in the agri-food sector while providing skilled workers and their families with a chance to flourish in Canada.
If you have experience in specific agri-food occupations, such as meat processing, mushroom production, or greenhouse farming, this program could be your ticket to Canadian residency. It recognizes the vital role you play in contributing to Canada’s agriculture and food industry.
The Agri-Food Pilot Program not only provides a work permit but also offers the possibility of permanent residency.
At K.S Immigration Services Ltd., we specialize in helping skilled workers and their families navigate this program, ensuring a smooth transition to your new life in Canada. Let us be your partner in seizing the opportunities that the Agri-Food Pilot Program has to offer. Contact us today, and let’s grow together in Canada.

Caregiver Program

Canada acknowledges the importance of addressing labor shortages by welcoming foreign workers through various immigration programs. The Home Support Worker Pilot and Home Child Care Provider Pilot specifically address the caregiver shortage in the Canadian workforce.
If you have a valid job offer in these caregiver roles and meet other eligibility criteria, you can apply for Canadian Permanent Residency through these programs. Successful applicants will receive an LMIA-exempt open work permit, but it will be limited to the specific caregiver occupation.
Previously, there were different caregiver programs, including the Caring for Children Program, Live-in Caregiver Canada Program, High Medical Needs Program – Caregiver, and Interim Pathway for Caregivers. However, since 2019, these programs have been succeeded by the Home Support Worker Pilot and Home Child Care Provider Pilot.

Requirements for the Home Support Worker Pilot and Home Child Care Provider Pilot:

  • Work Ability: You need to demonstrate past training or experience that proves your ability to perform the job.
  • No Plans to Live in Quebec: These programs are not eligible in Quebec, as Quebec has its own immigration programs.
  • Valid Job Offer: The job offer must be full-time, paid, involve a minimum of 30 hours per week, and be outside of Quebec. It should also be made using form IMM 5983.
  • Education Requirements: A minimum of one year of post-secondary education or an Education Credential Evaluation is required if your credentials are not Canadian.
  • Admissibility: You must not be classified as “inadmissible” by Canada.
  • Language Requirements: You must take one of the approved language tests, such as IELTS, CELPIP-G, TEF Canada, or TCF Canada, and meet the minimum language requirements (CLB 5 in English and NCLC 5 in French).
If you have less than 24 months of experience in these fields in the last 36 months, you may need to apply for a work permit and a Permanent Residency application to gain the required work experience.

PR Card Renewal

Your Canadian Permanent Resident (PR) Card is your key to enjoying the benefits of living in this beautiful country. However, PR Cards have an expiration date, and it’s crucial to renew them to maintain your status as a permanent resident.
Renewing your PR Card is a straightforward process, and it ensures that you can continue to live, work, and travel in Canada without any hassles. Here’s what you need to know:

When to Renew:

You should start the renewal process well in advance before your PR Card expires. Typically, PR Cards are valid for five years, so plan to renew it at least nine months before it expires.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for PR Card renewal, you must have lived in Canada for at least 730 days out of the last five years. This ensures that you meet the residency requirements for maintaining your permanent resident status.

Documents and Forms:

You’ll need to gather the necessary documents, including your expiring PR Card, photos, and supporting documents to prove your residency. The renewal application (IMM 5444) can be completed online or on paper, depending on your preference.

Travel Considerations:

While your PR Card is being renewed, you can still travel to Canada if you have a valid permanent resident travel document (PRTD). Ensure you have the necessary travel documents in place if you plan to travel during the renewal process.

Professional Assistance:

Navigating the PR Card renewal process can be made more accessible by seeking assistance from immigration experts like K.S Immigration Services Ltd. They can guide you through the process, ensuring that all your documents are in order and your renewal application is successful.
